Our red deer herd is managed with highly selective culling, regular herd counting and a programme of winter feeding. That work provides a steady number of mature stags through the season and keeps the herd in good condition on ground that can be unforgiving in winter.
The Estate's 15,000 acres can carry two separate stalking parties working in different areas, so your day is never crowded. Expect steep high ground, long views west, and the kind of stalking that rewards patience and fitness in equal measure.
You will be accompanied throughout by a qualified stalker who knows this ground intimately. Rifles can be discussed in advance, and we ask that all guests read our stalking terms before arrival. Evenings are spent back at the Lodge with a hot bath, a dram and the day's story told properly.
